Hirematic Talent Solutions in Mexico City is seeking a Senior SDET Engineer to drive quality across AI/LLM-powered products, APIs, and user journeys. This hands-on role blends software engineering with test automation.

You will design scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing; build QA gates in CI/CD; and mentor peers while embedding quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Formación

• 5+ years of SDET/Automation Engineer experience.
• Hands-on experience building automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with AI/LLM-powered applications, agentic systems, or intelligent workflows is highly valued.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end quality engineering for AI/agentic applications, APIs, UI, workflows, and platform services.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Define testing strategies for AI/agent-based systems, including response quality and reliability.
• Build automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines to support high-confidence releases.
• Develop test data, validate edge cases, identify defects, and drive root-cause analysis.
• Evaluate performance, scalability, reliability, resilience, and observability.
• Partner with engineering, product, architecture, and AI/data teams to embed quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive improvements in testability, automation, developer productivity, and overall engineering quality.
• Mentor team members and promote modern quality engineering and automation best practices.

Senior SDET Engineer

Location: Mexico City, Mexico
Salary: USD $4,000/month

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive quality engineering for next-generation intelligent and agentic products. This is a hands‑on role combining strong software engineering and automation expertise with experience testing AI/LLM-powered applications, APIs, user journeys, and production-grade platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality engineering for AI/agentic applications, APIs, UI, workflows, and platform services.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

• Define testing strategies for AI/agent-based systems, including response quality, workflow validation, tool usage, guardrails, reliability, and failure scenarios.

• Build automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines to support high-confidence releases.

• Develop effective test data, validate edge cases, identify defects, and drive root‑cause analysis through resolution.

• Evaluate performance, scalability, reliability, resilience, and observability.

• Partner with engineering, product, architecture, and AI/data teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Drive improvements in testability, automation, developer productivity, and overall engineering quality.

• Mentor team members and promote modern quality engineering and automation best practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience as an SDET, Software Engineer in Test, or Automation Engineer with solid software engineering fundamentals.

• Hands‑on expertise developing automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Experience with AI/LLM-powered applications, agentic systems, or intelligent workflows is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of Agile development, CI/CD, test strategy, and continuous testing.

• Experience with performance, reliability, resilience, and scalability testing.

• Strong problem‑solving, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
