KB Rail Mexico is hiring a Master Production Scheduler to develop the master production plan ensuring customer demand is met while maintaining minimum inventory. The role collaborates across sales, logistics, and manufacturing, using SAP to manage production and inventory flows within a dynamic, on-site environment in Acuna, Coahuila, MX.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience, a materials management background, and APICS familiarity, with a strong focus on planning accuracy

Qualifications

Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Materials Management or related field.
APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops the master production schedule aligned to plant capacity and sales forecast.
Collaborates with Inside Sales and customers to improve service levels.
Performs daily SAP transactions: reporting production, inventory transfers, and error resolution.
Serves as primary liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing.
Coordinates availability of raw materials, equipment and staff to meet delivery dates.
Maintains and updates the master distribution schedule for the facility.
Leads periodic forecasting and planning meetings with cross-functional teams.
Performs other related duties as required.

Job Description

Position Summary: Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing the plant with a monthly production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast.

Essential Functions

Develops the manufacturing master production schedule, which includes preparation of monthly SOP Planning Rate Sheets and daily Production Schedule planning activities.
Collaboration with the Inside Sales Team and customers when required to improve Customer Service levels through Ability to deliver focus.
Performs daily SAP transactions including, but not limited to, reporting production, Transfer of Inventory, resolving daily errors.
Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.
Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
Performs other related duties, as required.

Knowledge

Strong background in Material Requirements Planning (MRP & CRP), especially in shop floor and capacity planning
Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Inventory & Materials Management principles
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Ability to perform in highly dynamic environment
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Principles
