El Gerente de Programas de Saneamiento y Control de Plagas es responsable de garantizar la limpieza, higiene y control de plagas en la instalación, cumpliendo con los más altos estándares de calidad, seguridad alimentaria y normativas vigentes. Este rol lidera la implementación y mantenimiento del Programa Maestro de Saneamiento (MSS), supervisa las actividades diarias de limpieza, gestiona el programa de control de plagas y promueve la mejora continua en los procesos. Además, colabora estrechamente con áreas clave para asegurar el cumplimiento de objetivos estratégicos, optimización de costos y desarrollo del personal, contribuyendo al éxito operativo y reputacional de la compañía.
What are we looking for?
- Licenciatura en Ingeniería en Alimentos, Química, Biología, o áreas afines.
- Deseable especialización o cursos en Inocuidad Alimentaria, HACCP, BPM, ISO 22000.
- 3 a 5 años en gestión de programas de saneamiento y control de plagas en la industria alimentaria o similar.
- Experiencia en auditorías internas y externas (SQF, BRC, FSSC, etc.).
- Manejo de proveedores de servicios de control de plagas y químicos.
- SSOPs, GMPs, HACCP y normativas locales/internacionales.
- Uso y manejo seguro de productos químicos de limpieza y desinfección.
- Interpretación de reportes de plagas y análisis de tendencias.
- Conocimiento en documentación y cumplimiento regulatorio.
What will be your key responsibilities?
1. Sanitation Program Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain the facility’s Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
- Supervise and verify daily cleaning and sanitation of equipment, production areas, and common spaces.
- Ensure cleaning procedures follow SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
- Conduct pre-operational and post-sanitation inspections to verify cleaning effectiveness.
- Maintain documentation and records in compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
- Develop strategy for continuous improvement of the cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Assure training on chemicals and SSOPs for all the personnel working at the site.
2. Pest Control Management
- Oversee the pest control program (in-house or third-party service).
- Monitor pest control activities and analyze trends from reports and trap inspections.
- Ensure corrective actions are taken promptly in case of pest sightings or evidence.
- Verify compliance with all local regulations regarding pest management in food facilities.
- Establish strategy for pest control.
- Assure training and cultural programs for all the personnel at the site.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with departments such as engineering, quality assurance, procurement, and sales to ensure alignment and achieve business goals.
- Coordinate with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
4. Performance Management
- Set and communicate clear performance expectations for sanitation and pest control.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
5. Budgeting and Cost Control
- Develop and manage the sanitation and pest control budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality and delivery performance.
6. Quality and Compliance
- Ensure all products or services meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
7. Strategic Planning
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategies.
