Formación

Sales Manager – Western Region | Chesterton Mexico

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco (Western Mexico territory)

Reports to: Country Manager – Mexico

Work Model: Hybrid (field visits + remote work)

Chesterton is looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager to lead sales and business development across Western Mexico, including Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, and the coastal region of Michoacán — a strategically important region for Chesterton.

This leadership role will oversee a team of seven Retail Specialists and drive growth across key industries such as Mining, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Automotive, Food & Beverage, Power Generation, Sugar, and Cement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets of the territory through a team of dedicated salespeople directly attending end users accounts.
  • Lead, coach, and monitor performance of the sales team and ensure alignment with sales forecasts and territory business plans.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies, new product launches, and market programs throughout the region.
  • Lead customer visits, high-level presentations, and account planning sessions with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with corporate areas (HR, IT, Finance) for smooth commercial execution.
  • Promote continuous process improvements and maintain high standards in order processing and customer service by closely collaborating with functional areas (Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing)
  • Provide timely feedback to internal teams to improve product offerings and marketing strategies.
  • Participate in business reviews and commercial evaluations with regional sales management team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies on quality, safety, legal and environmental standards.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years experience in industrial or technical sales, distributor management, or sales leadership.
  • Proven skills in mentoring, coaching, hiring, employee development, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence multiple organizational levels.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license with flexibility to travel frequently within Western Mexico.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in industrial sectors: mining, power generation, cement, paper, food & beverage, general manufacturing
  • Managing sales teams and distribution channels
  • Technical knowledge of industrial products with a consultative, ROI-driven sales approach
  • Understanding of plant operations, maintenance workflows, and reliability programs.
