Descripción de la vacante

A global commodity trading company is seeking a sales professional to develop and implement a sales strategy for polymers in Mexico. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with 3-7 years of sales experience, preferably in the plastics industry. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and negotiating sales contracts. Fluency in Spanish and English is essential. The position allows for travel throughout Mexico and supports a remote working setup.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for polymers in Mexico, aligned with company objectives.
  • (Indispensable experience)
  • Identify and target new business opportunities and develop and qualify leads.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and exceeding their expectations.
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring profitability and adherence to company terms.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Travel throughout Mexico to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales reports and forecasts.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, polymer science, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in sales, preferably in the plastics industry or a related environment.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the Mexican plastics market and business culture.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience managing a sales team (a plus).
  • Travel flexibility.
