Kraken is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design and implement Rust services powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences for the mass market. You will contribute to large-scale, low-latency systems and collaborate with dozens of engineers to ship reliable features that reach millions of users.

The role requires a strong eye for detail, a passion for world-class user experiences, and a drive to own end-to-end systems from design to deployment.

Formación

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in writing network services or asynchronous Rust.
• Security-first mindset during system design.
• Autonomously debug issues across the stack (OS, network, application).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and technologies, including RPC, Kafka, and Event-Driven Systems.
• Collaborate with product teams to gather requirements and constraints for designing appropriate systems.
• Take complete end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries.
• Provide mentorship to other engineers while contributing to defining the technical culture.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences with focus on reliability, performance, and user impact.
• Write reusable, testable, and highly efficient code that scales across teams for revenue-critical systems.
• Collaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture, translating evolving product requirements into resilient, low-latency solutions.
• Work alongside hundreds of experienced Rust engineers, contributing to a high-performance, product-driven engineering culture.
