Job summary

Teradyne Robotics, part of Teradyne Inc., seeks a dedicated Intern in Field Applications and Service Engineering to support the Service Center in Mexico. You will work with UR and MiR robotics, handling diagnostics, repairs, testing, and warranty tasks while learning under experienced engineers.

You’ll contribute to process improvements, documentation, and occasional field visits, demos, and validations, gaining hands-on robotics experience while balancing a student schedule.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Robotics, Industrial, or a related field.
• At least two (2) years remaining to complete university studies.
• Availability to work 20 hours per week, with a schedule agreed upon with the manager and compatible with class schedules.
• Ability to provide proof of active student status and to formalize the internship through the university’s agreement process, in accordance with applicable regulations in Mexico.
• Working knowledge of English, with the ability to read technical documentation and communicate in writing.
• Solid fundamentals in electrical and electronic circuits, mechanical systems, and basic programming or industrial automation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in daily Service Center operations for UR and MiR products, gaining hands-on experience with unit intake, inventory, logistics, equipment readiness, and essential safety and quality practices.
• Learn alongside experienced engineers as you help diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, test, and validate robotic systems, and participate in field service, installations, inspections, application trials, demonstrations, and hands-on training.
• Help deliver a great customer experience by providing first-level technical support to customers and partners, maintaining accurate service and warranty records, and supporting administrative and invoicing documentation.
• Make a meaningful impact on team performance by analyzing service trends, creating reports and technical resources, improving processes and tools, and supporting events, pre-sales activities, and other team priorities.
