Job summary

Teradyne invites students to join its Mexico-based Field Applications and Services Engineering internship, supporting the Teradyne Robotics Service Center with UR and MiR products. You will gain hands‑on experience in intake, diagnostics, repairs, testing, and warranty support under seasoned engineers.

Beyond hands‑on work, you will help document processes, build technical resources, assist field visits, and contribute to demonstrations and validations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Robotics, Industrial, or a related field.
• At least two (2) years remaining to complete university studies.
• Availability to work 20 hours per week, with a schedule agreed upon with the manager and compatible with class schedules.
• Ability to provide proof of active student status and to formalize the internship through the university’s agreement process, in accordance with applicable regulations in Mexico.
• Working knowledge of English, with the ability to read technical documentation and communicate in writing.
• Solid fundamentals in electrical and electronic circuits, mechanical systems, and basic programming or industrial automation concepts.
• Hands‑on aptitude and willingness to work in a service center and workshop environment, including handling equipment and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word, and ability to learn new software and case management systems.
• Availability for occasional local travel within Mexico to support customer visits, events, or partner activities.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in daily Service Center operations for UR and MiR products, gaining hands‑on experience with unit intake, inventory, logistics, equipment readiness, and essential safety and quality practices.
• Learn alongside experienced engineers as you help diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, test, and validate robotic systems, and participate in field service, installations, inspections, application trials, demonstrations, and hands‑on training.
• Help deliver a great customer experience by providing first‑level technical support to customers and partners, maintaining accurate service and warranty records, and supporting administrative and invoicing documentation.
• Make a meaningful impact on team performance by analyzing service trends, creating reports and technical resources, improving processes and tools, and supporting events, pre‑sales activities, and other team priorities.
