Job summary

Amazon Capital Mexico S.A. de C.V. is seeking a Senior Compliance Program Manager to oversee deployment and validation of protective controls for Worldwide Operations Security.

You will partner with Global Risk & Resilience to ensure controls are deployed effectively across multiple sites and geographies. You will author playbooks, validate performance, and build enablement that scales with growing operations.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience handling confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Deploy protective controls directly when required, both onsite and offsite, across UTR and OTR environments
  • Receive control requirements from Global Risk & Resilience (R&R) and translate them into rapid deployment plans across threat types, geographies, and operational contexts
  • Validate that deployed controls function as intended through regular testing, real-world observation, and after-action review
  • Identify gaps between intended and actual control performance; drive corrective actions with field teams
  • Enable field-facing teams to deploy controls independently when possible, providing the tools and guidance to do so effectively
  • Author user guides, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for field-facing teams to execute protective measures independently
  • Build deployment playbooks that help field SLP and partner teams execute controls rapidly when directed — minimizing time from notification to protection in place
  • Establish clear escalation criteria — defining when field teams execute independently vs. when People Protection provides direct support
  • Operate feedback mechanisms to capture real-world control performance data from field execution
  • Translate field insights into framework updates, guide revisions, and control enhancements
  • Provide structured reporting on control efficacy to People Protection leadership and stakeholders
  • Work closely with Global Risk & Resilience (R&R) to enable partner SOG teams worldwide
  • Partner with Field SLP leadership to ensure frameworks align with operational realities and resource constraints

Description

You will oversee the deployment and validation of protective controls for Amazon personnel across Worldwide Operations Security. Global Risk & Resilience (R&R) determines which controls are needed; you ensure those controls get deployed and function as intended. You build the operational scaffolding that empowers Field Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) teams and partner SOG teams to execute controls independently, without friction.

You will author playbooks, validate control performance through testing and after-action review, and operate feedback loops that drive continuous improvement. When possible, you enable field teams to execute; when necessary, you execute directly. You are building something new from the ground up.

Key job responsibilities
  • Deploy protective controls directly when required, both onsite and offsite, across Under the Roof (UTR) and Over the Road (OTR) environments

  • Establish clear escalation criteria — defining when field teams execute independently vs. when People Protection provides direct support
  • Operate feedback mechanisms to capture real-world control performance data from field execution

  • Partner with Field SLP leadership to ensure frameworks align with operational realities and resource constraints
  • Support training and readiness initiatives to build field team confidence in executing protective controls
A day in the life

Your morning starts with a strategic question: how do we take a protective capability that works for ten sites and make it work for a thousand? You spend time defining the foundational operating criteria — the deployment standards, validation methods, and enablement models — that will allow this team to scale globally without adding headcount linearly. Mid-morning, you work with Global Risk & Resilience (R&R) to align on how new control requirements will flow into your team and how you will measure deployment speed and efficacy across regions.

After lunch, you design the enablement model that will let Field SLP teams globally execute controls without needing your team in the loop for every case. You are building the playbooks, escalation logic, and feedback mechanisms that make People Protection a platform — not a bottleneck.

When you step into an active case, it is to validate that the system you are building actually works under pressure, and to capture the lessons that improve the next iteration.

You balance long-term architecture with near-term execution, always asking: will this still work at 10x the volume?

Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience handling confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
  • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
  • Experience with SQL and Excel
