Global Connect Technologies is seeking a CAD Designer to support the creation, coordination, and delivery of detailed design packages for delivery station layouts. This role involves preparing accurate CAD drawings and collaborating with engineering and construction teams to meet project timelines.

You will work with Design Engineers, CAD drafters, and external partners to produce complete design sets, review permit drawings, and contribute to design quality control.

Formación

• Proven ability to create detailed CAD drawings for delivery station layouts.
• Experience coordinating with Design Engineers, CAD drafters, WWE, Pre-Construction, Construction teams, and external partners.
• Ability to review permit sets and elevations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of design quality control processes and peer reviews.
• Experience delivering designs post-permit revisions to improve safety, quality, productivity, and capacity.

Responsabilidades

• Create highly detailed CAD drawings for delivery station layouts, including equipment placement, workspaces, and infrastructure. Ensure alignment with current design standards and future initiatives.
• Work closely with Design Engineers, CAD drafters, WWE (Worldwide Engineering), Pre-Construction, Construction teams, external architects, MHE vendors, and Launch Execution teams to produce complete and approved design sets.
• Review and coordinate permit sets, structural drawings, floorplans, and elevations with internal and external stakeholders. Address and resolve design-related inquiries promptly.
• Deliver new designs, post-permit revisions, expansions, and retrofit layouts to enhance station safety, quality, productivity, and capacity.
• Integrate new design templates, updated safety processes, and engineering improvements into standard design practices.

The CAD Designer will support the creation, coordination, and delivery of detailed design packages for Amazon Delivery Stations. This role involves preparing accurate CAD drawings, collaborating with engineering and construction teams, and ensuring that all design outputs meet established standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Design Development:

• Create highly detailed CAD drawings for delivery station layouts, including equipment placement, workspaces, and infrastructure. Ensure alignment with current design standards and future initiatives.
• Work closely with Design Engineers, CAD drafters, WWE (Worldwide Engineering), Pre-Construction, Construction teams, external architects, MHE vendors, and Launch Execution teams to produce complete and approved design sets.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Review and coordinate permit sets, structural drawings, floorplans, and elevations with internal and external stakeholders. Address and resolve design-related inquiries promptly.

Quality Assurance:

• Support design quality control processes by participating in peer reviews, applying design checklists, incorporating Design Engineer feedback, and ensuring zero-defect deliverables.

Project Execution:

• Deliver new designs, post-permit revisions, expansions, and retrofit layouts to enhance station safety, quality, productivity, and capacity.

Process Improvement:

• Integrate new design templates, updated safety processes, and engineering improvements into standard design practices.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Revit experience
• 1-3 years of project coordination experience
• 1-3 years of experience in facility layout, manufacturing design, commercial/industrial drafting, or structural drafting
• AutoCAD experience is a plus

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Revit or AutoCAD Architecture within a design, civil, construction, or architectural environment
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Bluebeam

Education

• Associate's Degree in a relevant technical or design field

Soft Skills

• Strong project management abilities, with effective prioritization and time management in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and facilitate meetings
