talentiv is supporting a global Tier 1 automotive supplier in Querétaro for a Commodity Buyer (Resins). The role encompasses cradle-to-grave sourcing, awarding projects, and lifecycle management from start to end of life in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.

You will lead supplier negotiations, monitor market trends, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning and Finance teams to drive cost reductions and optimize the global resin supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years purchasing experience in automotive environments.
• Proven background in resins commodities.
• Savings through negotiations and VA/VE initiatives.
• Experience working in global, matrixed, and multicultural environments.
• Advanced business-level English.
• Experience with SAP.

• Own the assigned resins commodity end-to-end, from sourcing through serial production, service, and phase-out.
• Execute the commodity strategy aligned with cost reduction, localization, resourcing and dual sourcing strategies.

We are supporting a global Tier 1 automotive supplier in the search for a Commodity Buyer (Resins) to join its organization in Querétaro. This is a cradle-to-grave purchasing role, with full ownership of the commodity lifecycle: from sourcing and business award, through projects, serial production, service, and end-of-life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the assigned resins commodity end-to-end, from sourcing through serial production, service, and phase-out.

• Execute the commodity strategy aligned with cost reduction, localization, resourcing and dual sourcing strategies.

• Manage supplier negotiations.

• Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning and Finance teams.

• Monitor market trends, conduct benchmarking, and ensure competitive global pricing.

• Participate in new projects and material changes.
