Candidate Requirements and Profile

Academic Background:

• PhD in Materials Science, Advanced Manufacturing, or related fields.

Professional Experience:

• Proven ability to secure external funding and focus on commercializing research outcomes.
• Experience leading high-impact research projects.
• Internationalization: Experience in doctoral or postdoctoral stays at recognized universities or research centers is highly valued.
• For Tecnológico de Monterrey alumni: a minimum of 3 years of research abroad or at prestigious universities.

Scientific Output:

• Productivity equivalent to SNI Level II.
• At least 10 years of research experience and over 100 scientific publications in their specialty.

Areas of Specialization

The ideal candidate will contribute to the following areas:

Research Line

• Hydrogen production and energy storage using advanced materials derived from untapped resources (e.g., waste, biomass, non-commercial minerals).

Development Areas:

• Catalytic materials, electrochemistry, and technologies for energy storage.
• Design of advanced systems such as electrolyzers, electrodes, and supercapacitors.
• Application of digital technologies in materials research.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

• Partnerships with fields like manufacturing, accelerated materials discovery, and artificial intelligence to maximize research impact.
