Job summary

DNV Group in Mexico City is seeking an Energy Engineer to design, integrate, commission, and optimize utility-scale renewable energy projects, including PV plants, BESS, PPC, and SCADA systems, with a focus on grid compliance.

You will collaborate with project managers, utilities, EPC contractors and vendors to ensure reliable asset integration, perform testing, document procedures, and support client deliverables throughout field commissioning and witness testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience with renewable energy systems such as PV plants, energy storage, and grid-connected projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering and commissioning activities for solar, BESS, and hybrid energy facilities.
• Execute the integration of SCADA and PPC systems.
• Analyze utility interconnection requirements and grid compliance standards.
• Review electrical studies including load flow, short circuit, and reactive power analyses.
• Coordinate communications between inverters, meters, relays, and plant control systems.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities in accordance with project requirements.
• Develop technical documentation, FAT/SAT procedures, and client deliverables.
• Troubleshoot operational issues involving controls, telemetry, and plant performance.
• Participate in field commissioning and utility witness testing.
