SME Careers in Mexico is seeking a Spanish Quality Assurance Lead (QAL) for an hourly, remote contractor role to oversee quality across Spanish AI training projects. You will review AI-generated Spanish content, evaluate output against guidelines, and provide precise written feedback to trainers and QAs.

This role requires native or near-native Spanish, strong English, and a proven ability to manage quality workflows across remote teams using Discord, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of professional experience in Spanish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
• Native or near-native Spanish proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong grasp of English to follow project guidelines, communicate with teams, and provide clear feedback in English.
• Ability to evaluate Spanish content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, unnatural tone, or inconsistent terminology.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs.
• Comfortable working remotely using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, able to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and quality documentation.
• Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, or rubric-based QA is a strong plus.

Aufgaben

• Quality monitoring: spot-check Spanish items and provide ongoing feedback.
• Trainer and QA communication: update trainers and QAs on guidelines and project changes.
• Question handling: respond to questions around Spanish wording, tone, and localization.
• Trainer/QA activation management: DM inactive contributors and track follow-ups.
• Documentation: create and maintain Spanish project documentation and onboarding materials.
• Onboarding and training: run onboarding/training calls explaining expectations and rubrics.
• Quality alignment: ensure consistent application of Spanish guidelines across projects.
• Process improvement: identify gaps and propose scalable QA processes for Spanish-language projects.
