Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers in a fully remote, hourly contract role to help train AI systems by building, evaluating, and improving AI-generated code. You will write solutions, review outputs, and give expert feedback to improve safety, reliability, and quality.

You’ll work hands-on across languages, review AI outputs, and design prompts to stress-test capabilities, all while collaborating asynchronously on your own schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving and systematic debugging approach.
• Clear written communicator able to explain technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across a range of languages and domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works or doesn't.
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule.
