Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior ML Engineer - Email Security for a remote role in Mexico. You will build and deploy transformer-based models to detect spam and phishing, and you will own the entire ML lifecycle from data prep to production releases.

The role requires strong systems skills in Linux and Python, and experience with Go for the new email-filtering engine. The position offers a fully remote setup with flexible hours and opportunities to optimize large-scale email security pipelines

Qualifications

• Production detection experience in anti-spam/anti-phishing contexts.
• End-to-end ML ownership with production release experience.
• Transformer training with PyTorch and CPU inference.
• Systems: Linux, shell, Python, GPU resource management.
• AI-assisted development tools usage.
• English writing proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Train, evaluate, and release spam-detection models with corpora and thresholds.
• Develop production components of a new email-filtering engine in Go.
• Investigate incidents and improve detection via data/model updates.
• Balance detection rates and false positives while maintaining performance.
• Maintain training corpora and tooling for reliable experiments and releases.
• Review code and model changes to ensure quality without bottlenecks.
• Explain model scoring and results to partner engineers for clear guidance.
• Write technical specs, handbooks, and post-mortems for collaboration.
