Bluelight is seeking a senior backend-focused software engineer to join its growing team. You will work on challenging, high-quality applications, leveraging Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS to deliver low-latency APIs and scalable services.

This role requires strong database skills with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, a multi-tenant mindset, and a commitment to ownership, testing, and collaboration across international teams and US business hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Proficient with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency AWS API services and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
• Experience with multi-tenant environments and SQL/schema migrations.
• Proficient with React and strong testing practices.
• Ability to overlap US business hours and Bachelor's degree required.
• Ownership, accountability, and client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality applications in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to backend and occasional frontend work as needed.
• Implement secure, multi-tenant architectures and integrations.
• Maintain and test with integration tests against real databases.
• Collaborate with clients and team to deliver on commitments.
• Overlap US business hours to coordinate with clients.
