Job summary

Grupo Bargo De Mexico seeks a seasoned Remote Mineral Processing Technician to deliver expert analysis, support, and optimization guidance from a remote location. You will monitor real-time plant data, diagnose issues, and implement strategies to improve recovery and throughput across sites, leveraging advanced software and simulations.

You will communicate effectively with operators and engineers, conduct virtual audits, and produce actionable reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years hands-on experience in mineral processing operations (comminution, flotation, leaching, thickening).
• Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying trends with statistical methods and process simulation software.
• Proven ability to provide remote technical support and training.
• Strong understanding of mineral processing equipment, control systems, and process variables.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Python, MATLAB) and simulation tools (Metsim, JKSimFloat).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and autonomous work skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze real-time data from mineral processing plants using advanced software platforms.
• Troubleshoot process inefficiencies and equipment malfunctions remotely.
• Develop and implement optimization strategies to improve recovery, throughput, and quality.
• Provide technical guidance to on-site operators and engineers via virtual channels.
• Conduct virtual process audits and performance assessments.
• Prepare detailed reports on plant performance and recommended actions.
• Stay updated on new mineral processing technologies and propose relevant upgrades.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for remote technical support.
