Job summary

Welo Global is seeking experienced customs and trade compliance professionals to support a project focused on Mexican import/export regulations, tariff classification, and compliance. This flexible, project-based engagement is ideal for practitioners actively working in the field.

You will review scenarios, develop reference solutions, document reasoning, and validate analyses while collaborating with the project team. Remote work from Mexico with part-time hours and compensation at $12 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in customs brokerage, tariff classification, trade compliance, or related field.
• Current or recent experience with Mexican customs regulations and procedures.
• One of the following backgrounds: Agente Aduanal, Clasificador Arancelario, Trade/Customs Compliance Specialist, or related role.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and ability to document regulatory decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review import/export scenarios under Mexican regulations.
• Develop expert reference solutions for classification and compliance tasks.
• Document the reasoning behind regulatory decisions and interpretations.
• Validate alternative solutions for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify missing information, incorrect assumptions, or inappropriate decision sequences.
• Reference applicable regulations (Ley Aduanera, LIGIE, TIGIE, NOMs, RRNA, T-MEC).
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate representation of expert knowledge.
