Qualifications

• 8+ years in backend development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior role.
• Proven expertise in designing and building complex, scalable distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python, Java, Go, Node.js) and frameworks.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and caching mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend services and APIs.
• Architect robust, scalable, and highly available systems using modern technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and solutions.
• Write high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code in Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
• Mentor and guide a team of backend engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring code quality through reviews.
• Address performance bottlenecks and technical debt.
• Drive best practices in CI/CD, testing strategies, and system monitoring.
• Participate in technical decision-making and strategic planning for the engineering department.
