Job summary

Sovos is seeking a Junior Technical Support Specialist in Mexico to resolve complex technical issues for our SaaS platform. The role bridges technology and customers, with a Wednesday–Sunday 8pm–3am schedule to support LATAM customers during critical hours.

You will handle PostgreSQL-focused tickets, troubleshoot with AI-assisted tools, document interactions, and collaborate with development on escalations. A strong foundation in databases, cloud, and multi-language support is expected.

Qualifications

Strong PostgreSQL database management
Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise apps
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/OCI) and APIs
Proficiency in at least one programming language (JS, Python, Java, or C#)
Ability to operate in a 3-shift-like flexible schedule and LATAM time zones

Responsibilities

Respond to and resolve technical support tickets, calls, and emails focusing on PostgreSQL and reporting.
Troubleshoot issues, reproduce problems, identify root causes, and implement fixes; leverage AI tools to speed up diagnostics.
Document interactions and resolutions; create and maintain knowledge base articles.
Escalate complex problems to development with analysis at code and architecture levels.
Monitor availability and performance; participate in upgrades and maintenance activities.
Create scripts and automation tools to improve support efficiency.
