Yelp is hiring for a fully remote engineering role within Mexico. You will design, build, and maintain customer-facing, SEO-optimized web pages and scalable APIs. The team emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and quality code from day one.

You’ll collaborate across frontend and backend teams, implement responsive designs for desktop and mobile, and contribute to data modeling and SQL performance. Excellent English communication is essential in this global team.

Formación

• Strong experience with React / modern JavaScript
• Proficiency with a server-side framework (Rails preferred, or Django/Laravel/Express)
• Experience collaborating with backend/service teams and integrating APIs
• Excellent written and spoken English communication

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of customer-facing, SEO-optimized, high-performance pages and set technical direction
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering learning and technical excellence
• Support desktop and mobile experiences using responsive design
• Architect, implement, and improve backend services and APIs powering core features
• Integrate frontend components with backend systems and third-party APIs
• Provide infrastructure and APIs to support AI/ML features
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and contribute to data modeling
• Identify and resolve critical issues and contribute to architectural discussions
