Job summary

Alta Advisors, a consultancy delivering fractional CFO, FP&A, and strategic finance services to venture-backed startups, seeks an FP&A Manager. This fully remote, Mexico-based independent contractor role focuses on building complex financial models, forecasting, and data-driven decision support for a portfolio of high-growth tech clients.

You will collaborate with Alta’s senior finance team, execute model-driven projects, and leverage AI tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of finance experience, preferably including FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance.
• Experience supporting venture-backed technology companies strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred.
• Deep experience building and maintaining complex financial models in Google Sheets and Excel.
• Strong proficiency in visualizing quantitative and financial information using Google Slides.
• Excellent communication skills to lead meetings and manage client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible, execution-focused FP&A support across Alta’s portfolio of venture-backed technology clients.
• Complete financial modeling, forecasting, reporting, and analytical projects with limited supervision.
• Build and maintain integrated financial models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs).
• Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, long-range plans, and scenario analyses.
