Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Security Engineer (DevSecOps) to integrate security into the software development lifecycle and act as a bridge between development, operations, and security.

You will define policies as code, manage secrets, secure containerized workloads, and drive secure coding practices across teams. This role offers 100% remote work with USD compensation and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or DevOps.
• Experience embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows.
• Proficiency with security tooling integration such as Snyk, Trivy, or Aqua.
• Hands-on experience implementing Policy as Code using Open Policy Agent (OPA).
• Strong background in secrets management and securing containerized infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Integrate automated security scanning and testing tools directly into CI/CD pipelines to catch vulnerabilities early.
• Define and implement Policy as Code to maintain consistent security standards across all infrastructure and deployments.
• Manage and secure sensitive data through robust secrets management solutions across various environments.
• Harden containerized workloads and orchestration platforms to protect against modern cloud-native threats.
• Foster a culture of security awareness by collaborating with engineering teams to adopt best practices and secure coding standards.
• Conduct continuous monitoring and auditing of infrastructure to ensure ongoing compliance and rapid threat detection.
