FinOps Weekly is seeking a Cloud Cost Governance Lead for a fully remote role based in Mexico. You will own end-to-end cloud cost visibility across Azure, AWS, and GCP and partner with engineering and finance to drive cost optimization in a complex multi-cloud environment.

You will build cost data pipelines using Power BI, SQL, and BigQuery, translate billing data into actionable insights, and influence cost-aware engineering decisions and financial discipline across the organization.

Formación

• 8+ years in cloud or infrastructure with FinOps or cloud cost governance.
• At least 5+ years of hands-on Azure cost management at scale.
• 3+ years of AWS cost governance using Cost Explorer, CUR, Budgets, and Savings Plans.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end cloud cost visibility across Azure, AWS, and GCP, ensuring a single source of truth for cloud spending and classifications.
• Monitor daily cost activity and anomalies using native cloud tools, with alerts across tenants, accounts, and workloads.
• Lead root cause analysis of cost incidents with engineering, finance, and cloud providers to resolve issues and quantify impact.
• Ensure alignment between provisioning systems and billing data, closing gaps between platform actions and cloud charges.
• Build and maintain cost data pipelines and reporting systems using Power BI, SQL, BigQuery, and cloud billing exports.
• Identify and drive refund or credit opportunities with cloud providers.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and optimization initiatives including rightsizing and spend governance.
