Job summary

Outlier is seeking a QA Coder to help train AI models by reviewing AI-generated code and flagging issues. You will rate model responses and contribute well-structured prompts to push AI capabilities. This is a freelance 1099 opportunity with flexible, remote work from many countries.

Expected pay is up to $34 per hour in USD, with additional incentives based on project performance. Applicants from multiple countries are welcome, and onboarding includes screening and technical assessment.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase ideally for a technology company.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions to improve model output.
• Write clear, well-structured computer science prompts to challenge AI models.
