Job summary

Outlier is building a structured remote program for LatAm's best software engineers to help train AI models. As a QA Coder, you will review AI-generated code, rate model responses on accuracy and instruction following, and craft precise CS prompts to push the models' coding abilities.

This is a freelance, 1099 opportunity with flexible, remote work across Latin America. Ideal candidates hold a CS degree, production-code experience, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions — accuracy, instruction following, and presentation.
• Write clear, well-structured prompts to challenge AI models and push coding capabilities.
