Design, update, and ensure the implementation of policies and procedures that guarantee legal and regulatory compliance across all countries in the region.
Oversee regional operations to ensure adherence to local laws, international regulations, and corporate standards (e.g., anti-corruption, data privacy, antitrust).
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks in collaboration with departments such as Legal, Finance, HR, and Operations.
Lead or coordinate investigations into potential violations of internal policies or laws, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.
Develop and deliver training sessions on ethics, compliance, and corporate policies to employees at all levels.
Plan and execute internal compliance audits and follow up on findings and action plans.
Report to senior management and the global compliance function on the compliance status in the region, including incidents, key metrics, and improvements.
Review and validate contract clauses from a compliance perspective, especially in agreements with third parties, suppliers, and strategic partners.
Evaluate and monitor the compliance of suppliers, contractors, and business partners through due diligence and ongoing oversight.
Stay informed about legal developments in the region and adjust internal policies and processes accordingly.
