Reporting to the IS Practice Manager Americas, the Regional IS Practice Specialist - SAP PP is responsible to:
- Assist in the configuration and implementation of SAP PP, PM and QM modules for various supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, material master data, warehouse operations, and goods receipt.
- Support cross-functional teams in identifying project goals, defining requirements, and establishing timelines for SAP MM and WMS implementations.
- Coordinate with functional teams, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between SAP MM, WMS, and other SAP modules (e.g., SAP SD, FI, CO).
- Track progress and milestones throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the SAP MM and WMS solutions meet business requirements and project deadlines.

- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Plan and execute testing phases, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for SAP PP, PM and QM modules.
- Ensure system configurations and processes are aligned with business requirements and industry best practices.
- Resolve any issues or defects identified during testing to ensure a smooth go-live.
Main activities include:
Business Requirements Analysis:
- Collaborate with business users to gather, analyze, and document detailed requirements for SAP PP, PM and QM processes.
- Identify gaps between current processes and the desired future state, recommending improvements based on SAP capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into SAP PP, PM and QM configuration specifications, ensuring alignment with best practices.
Configuration & Customization:
- Capable to identify fields used related to Material Master, BOMs, Work Centers, Routings, Functional Locations, Equipment, and Inspection Plans required to system setup.
- Configure plants, storage locations, and planning structures for integrated PP-PM-QM processes under organizational structure alignment.
- Implement preventive maintenance within production cycles, in-process and final inspections, and maintenance-related quality checks follow process Integration.
- Set up control keys, inspection types, and status profiles for production and maintenance orders according to business rules.
- Configure MRP settings for production and maintenance spare parts and capacity planning for shared resources.
- Customize maintenance and quality notifications and integrate workflow approvals for corrective actions using Notifications & Workflow.
- Enhancements & User Exits: Utilize BAdIs and User Exits for custom validations and implement additional fields for business-specific needs.
- Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure the configuration meets business needs and functions properly within the system creating end-to-end test scripts and perform integration testing across PP, PM, QM, and related modules.
- Ensure system configurations and processes are aligned with business requirements and industry’s best practices.
- Resolve any issues or defects identified during testing to ensure a smooth go-live.
Project Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, configuration guides, test scripts, and issue logs.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency on progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Assist in preparing project reports and presentations for management, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Develop training materials and user documentation for operational support.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work with key business stakeholders, functional leads, and technical consultants to ensure alignment between business requirements and SAP functionality.
- Support cross-functional teams in addressing any challenges related to other SAP modules and processes.
- Help drive collaboration between IT, supply chain, and operations teams to deliver high-quality SAP solutions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes and improve SAP PP, PM and QM configurations.
- Keep up with the latest SAP PP, PM and QM best practices, updates, and industry trends to provide recommendations for system enhancements.
Required experience and competencies:
- University degree or Engineering School with specialization in InformationSystems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Systems operations.
- Proven track record in managing applications support and operations at a global level.
- Expertise in managing enterprise applications such as ERP, EDI, and manufacturing systems.
- Experience with D&IS service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices in the context of enterprise applications.
- Good communication, leadership and collaboration skills.
