Job summary

UNHCR Mexico seeks an Associate Durable Solutions Officer to advance livelihoods and inclusive employment for refugees and asylum-seekers in Aguascalientes. The role focuses on partnerships, job matching, and safeguarding basic working conditions within a Local Integration Programme.

The position emphasizes collaboration with NGOs, civil society and private sector players, while coordinating with Japanese stakeholders to align with humanitarian-development priorities and funder requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of professional experience in refugee integration or reintegration of IDPs.
• Experience with community development, private sector, UN agencies, or NGOs is required.
• Interest or experience in socioeconomic inclusion, financial inclusion, human rights, or humanitarian-development nexus is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Local Integration Programme and livelihoods interventions in Aguascalientes, focusing on employability, financial inclusion, and services.
• Engage with employers, map companies, advise on inclusive hiring, and link with partners.
• Coordinate with implementing partners, civil society, local authorities and service providers.
• Monitor activities, assist in reporting and document lessons learned.
• Liaise with key Japanese stakeholders as required.
