Position Summary

We’re seeking a Real Estate Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in managing real estate files from contract to closing.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, capable of handling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Open and manage real estate files, tracking all key deadlines (attorney review, inspection, mortgage contingency, etc.).
  • Draft, format, and revise correspondence and legal documents (e.g., contract riders, estoppel certificates, tax prorations, post-closing escrows).
  • Coordinate with clients, title companies, lenders, and brokers.
  • Order and review title commitments, payoffs, municipal transfer stamps, and HOA documents.
  • Assist attorneys with settlement statements and closing preparation.
  • Monitor and update checklists, calendars, and file status reports.
  • Manage e-signatures, client portals, and secure document transmission.
  • Perform administrative support tasks (scheduling, file organization, light billing, or data entry).
💡 Skills & Qualifications
Required:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+).
  • 2 years of experience in real estate law or legal support involving real estate transactions for US companies.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and practice management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working remotely with tools like Zoom, Slack, and secure file‑sharing platforms.
