Job summary

Hitachi Energy Productos de Mexico is seeking a Procurement / Material Planning Specialist to drive timely and cost-effective material acquisitions. You will manage P2P, ensure inventory readiness to meet forecasted demand, and segment materials with ABC/XYZ analyses to set inventory policies.

You will collaborate with suppliers and category managers to optimize costs, maintain SAP parameters, and support S&OP processes to improve on-time delivery across a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with up to 2 years of purchasing or planning experience.
• Experience with SAP MM/PP modules.
• Exposure to high volume, high mix environments preferred.
• Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process for relevant MRP controllers.
• Ensure inventory availability to meet forecasted demand and on-time delivery.
• Segment materials via ABC/XYZ analysis and define inventory policies.
• Collaborate with suppliers and category managers to optimize costs and drive savings.
• Maintain inventory parameters and replenishment strategies in SAP.
• Monitor and control the P2P process, including escalation and expediting activities.
• Support and lead the Sales and Operations Planning process.
• Partner with suppliers to align material forecasting and improve delivery performance.

Your background
