Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a positive relationship while working closely with the staff.
  • To build a strong team through coaching, goal setting, and constructive feedback.
  • Researches and recommends best practices that can be followed.
  • Ensures staff is focused on customer service and moving all loads legally within guidelines.
  • Builds strong working relationships with local carriers to ensure that Maersk is a cost leader.
  • Works directly with LOC team to address equipment concerns, in particular where customer needs are not being covered.
  • Works closely with operations, customers, trucking companies, and customer service to ensure movement of containers to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Builds a strong working relationship with the local terminal management staff in order to ensure we achieve the most efficient movement of cargo.
  • Monitors, records and reports cost savings, unbudgeted expenses, service failures and empty equipment inventory to the department manager, along with suitable recommendations.

We are looking for:

  • Conversational English
  • Strong experience in similar roles for freight-forwarding companies, trucking lines or similar. Rail experience.
  • Solid experience in team management
  • Proven experience in project management aimed at generating productivity.
