ABB está buscando un Gerente de Producto Global en la unidad SWB para liderar el desarrollo y mantenimiento de soluciones innovadoras, alineadas con las necesidades del cliente y las prioridades del negocio.

El rol implica trabajar con equipos de I+D y ingeniería de productos para mejorar la calidad, evaluar nuevas tecnologías y traducir la voz del cliente en mejoras concretas. El puesto es onsite en México y exige experiencia en I+D y liderazgo técnico.

Formación

• Experiencia en I+D, desarrollo de productos y metodologías de ingeniería.
• Capacidad para evaluar necesidades técnicas y traducirlas en soluciones.
• Conocimiento de herramientas de documentación técnica y gestión de proyectos.

Responsabilidades

• Liderar desarrollo y mantenimiento de productos para entregar soluciones innovadoras y de valor.
• Impulsar mejoras de calidad y rendimiento del producto.
• Identificar tecnologías y oportunidades de I+D para evolucionar el portafolio de productos.
• Colaborar con expertos técnicos, clientes y stakeholders para traducir la voz del cliente en mejoras.

Global Product Group Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to drive the future of the products in the SWB area. Each day, you will evaluate product needs, technical opportunities, and customer feedback to identify innovative solutions and guide R&D activities. You will also showcase your expertise by leading product development initiatives, driving product quality improvements, and collaborating with technical experts and business stakeholders to deliver customer and business value.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the R&D / Product Engineering organization in the SWB area. Main stakeholders are R&D teams, Product Engineering, technical experts, business operations, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

• Drive product development and maintenance activities to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions aligned with customer needs and business priorities.
• Lead product quality and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen product performance, reliability, and customer value.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, methodologies, and R&D opportunities to support innovation and the evolution of the product portfolio.
• Collaborate with technical experts, customers, and internal stakeholders to translate the voice of the customer into actionable product and technology improvements.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are highly skilled in R&D, product development, technology evaluation, and engineering methodologies, and enjoy working in an industrial technology and product engineering environment.
• You have proven experience (5+ years) in R&D, product engineering, software/product development, or a related technical field, with the ability to solve complex problems independently and guide junior team members.
• You are adept in relevant engineering, product development, project management, and technical documentation tools and methodologies.
• You are passionate about innovation, problem solving, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and you enjoy turning ideas and hypotheses into validated solutions.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or a related technical discipline, with demonstrated experience in product development, R&D, or a comparable technical area.
• You are at ease communicating in English and the local language, as required for the role.
• You hold current licenses, certifications, or work authorization required for the position and valid in the job location, where applicable.
