Valeo is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to join the Quality Assurance team on the shop floor of our automotive manufacturing environment. You'll gain hands-on experience with floor validation walks, dimensional inspections, and SPC studies to drive quality improvements.
Responsibilities include updating inspection and control documentation, reporting dimensional non-conformances, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives with the quality team.

Quality Engineering Intern (Automotive Sector) Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control Industry: Automotive Manufacturing Employment Type: Internship Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Engineering Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for conducting floor validation walks, recording precision dimensional measurements, performing statistical process capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and maintaining part-specific quality documentation.
Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts, specifically Cp and Cpk calculations. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and engineering blueprints. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
Software: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (for data analysis and graphing); familiarity with Minitab or ERP/QMS systems is a plus.
Language: Professional English (verbal and written).
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, proactive problem-solving ability, and effective communication skills for shop-floor interactions.
