Flowserve Corporation in Torreón, Mexico seeks an engaged manager to lead the Quality Group responsible for driving CI improvements and quality performance across site operations.

You will mentor QA teams, ensure QMS compliance with ISO standards, coordinate audits, and partner with leadership to sustain product quality and customer satisfaction.

Formación

• BS or BA degree in a relevant field.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to lead quality initiatives.
• Experience supervising quality teams.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, NUPIC, AS9100 and related standards.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Engages with site leadership to communicate requirements to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Manages the QA team and Manufacturing Indirect QC team to balance quality targets and throughput.
• Oversees documentation and implementation of the QMS to comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Partners with leadership to train and ensure skills and performance.
• Coordinates plant personnel for internal, customer and third-party quality audits.
• Approve of all QAB access requests and annual audits.
• Maintain corporate corrective action system to address nonconformities.
• Implement performance metrics to evaluate organizational quality and cost of quality.
• Use Lean/CI tools to drive improvements.
• Develop and maintain supplier qualification and MRB processes.
• Champion quality plan and QMS implementation at site level for success of objectives.
• Lead with strong communication and foster development of the team.

Role Summary: Flowserve is looking for an engaged manager to lead the Quality Group. This position is responsible for driving initiatives to improve quality performance through continuous improvement (CI).

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Engages with the site leadership teams to effectively communicate customer, regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Manages the QA team and the Manufacturing Indirect QC team of a particular site to ensure proper balance of meeting quality targets and operational throughput.
• Oversees the effective documentation and implementation of the QMS to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies.
• Partners with the leadership team to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.
• Coordinates necessary plant personnel for internal, customer and third-party quality system audits. This will include on site as well as phone in surveys and mail-in surveys.
• Approval of all business system QAB access requests and annual access audits.
• Maintain corporate corrective action system to analyze and drive corrections of nonconforming conditions and complaints.
• Implements the performance measurements necessary to effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and the cost of quality.
• Uses the results of performance evaluation to drive improvement efforts using Lean/CI tools.
• In conjunction with supply chain resources, develop and initiate methods to qualify, certify and maintain domestic or low-cost region suppliers in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Responsible for developing and managing the Material Review Board process.
• Collaborating with our company’s quality leadership, you will champion the implementation of the quality plan and quality management system (QMS) at the site level to achieve the overall success of quality objectives.
• Using your demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills, you can lead this team to enhance and improve the site’s products and services through the implementation of ISO 9001, root cause analysis (RCA), prevention methods, and CI techniques (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control).
• Displays strong leadership by making time to connect with associates, creating a great environment for everyone to work in, and help develop the team to reach their collective and individual potential.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in quality leadership
• Demonstrated experience managing/supervising a quality team
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, NUPIC, AS9100 and other relevant industry codes and standards
• Based on business or customer needs, you may experience 10% - 15% travel, which could include international travel
• BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 8-10 years relevant experience
