Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. seeks a Quality Inspector to perform assigned duties in the absence of the Quality Supervisor and to follow inspection work instructions (receipt, process or final). You will notify management of any non-conformances and support continuous improvement in the inspection process.

You will promote ABS tools in the work area and remain flexible to daily client demands while complying with the quality policy and AS9100 standards.

Qualifications

• Experience: QAD.
• Basic computer package.
• Standard AS9100.
• Measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for activities in the absence of the Quality Supervisor.
• Follow up on the work instructions for the inspection being carried out (receipt, process or final).
• Notify the immediate manager about any non-compliance detected during inspections.
• Follow up on nonconforming material in accordance with the work instructions (QOPA87-02).
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in the inspection process.
• Be flexible to daily activities demanded by internal/external clients.
• Perform other activities designated by the engineer and/or Quality Assurance Manager.
• Promote the use of ABS tools in work areas (Autonomous Maintenance, Order and Cleaning, AAid Chain, among others).
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement through suggestions/implementations.
