Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a seasoned Quality Engineering professional in Mexico to lead end-to-end quality for the Heat Exchangers, Valves & Tubing CIPT area. You will own quality from early development through production launch, partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supplier Quality to ensure robust processes and ready products.

You will drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Control Plans, review FPY and test data, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Quality, manufacturing, engineering or NPD activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC and structured problem-solving methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and product requirements.
• Experience with heat exchangers, valves, tubing, brazing, welding, leak testing or similar processes is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving across functions.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the NPD Quality lead for the Heat Exchangers, Valves & Tubing CIPT area.
• Provide end-to-end Quality ownership from development through production launch.
• Drive quality activities across design reviews, APQP, Passport reviews, prototypes, PPAP, and production launch.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and cross-functional teams to drive open quality actions to closure.
• Drive quality readiness for brazing, welding, leak testing and related manufacturing processes.
• Review FPY, defects, test failures and rework to support corrective actions.
• Track quality readiness and communicate gaps to CIPT and program teams.
• Apply lessons learned and Look Across from existing products to prevent repeats.

About the role

Seasoned Quality Engineering professional. Works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on area of responsibility. May managed Quality Engineering processes and/or projects. Uses experience and knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance, or quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the NPD Quality lead for the Heat Exchangers, Valves & Tubing CIPT area, including heat exchangers, valves, tubing, brazing, welding and leak testing.
• Provide end-to-end Quality ownership for the assigned area from early product development through production launch and transition to sustaining Quality.
• Drive Quality activities across design reviews, APQP, Passport reviews, prototype and MCS builds, PPAP readiness and production launch.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and other cross-functional teams to identify risks and drive open Quality actions to closure.
• Drive Quality readiness for brazing, welding, leak testing, inspection and other applicable manufacturing processes.
• Review FPY, defects, test failures, rework and other build data to identify issues and support corrective action.
• Track Quality readiness and open risks for assigned programs and communicate gaps to the CIPT and program teams.
• Apply lessons learned and Look Across from existing products and programs to help prevent repeat issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience supporting Quality, manufacturing, engineering or new product development activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC and structured problem-solving methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and product requirements.
• Experience with heat exchangers, valves, tubing, brazing, welding, leak testing or similar manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
