Honeywell Aerospace in Mexico is seeking a Quality Assurance specialist to develop, apply and refine QA protocols for in-process and finished goods. You will ensure compliance with standards, analyze data, and drive corrective actions across manufacturing and inspection activities.

The role requires advanced English and a BS in engineering, with experience in microelectronics manufacturing and leadership in continuous improvement initiatives.

Formación

  • Three (3) years of related experience in quality assurance.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Science, Math or related field.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written, verbal, and technical communication).
  • Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Advanced knowledge of AS9100 Rev. D quality management system.
  • Experience in microelectronics manufacturing, hybrid microcircuits.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply statistical methods.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze customer requirements by reviewing contract specifications and meeting quality standards.
  • Support root cause and corrective actions with quality metrics and plans.
  • Maintain REMS quality systems, policies and procedures.
  • Write, review, and revise Process Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Design and implement methods for testing and inspecting product quality.
  • Review manufacturing documentation to ensure inspection and testing criteria.
  • Analyze reports and data including returns; initiate corrective actions.
  • Manage statistical analysis to provide lifecycle insights.
  • Participate in safety training and Lean/Six Sigma activities.
  • Collaborate in team meetings and internal audits.

Descripción del empleo

Develop, evaluate, revise and apply technical quality assurance protocol and methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment and finished goods; ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations; perform analysis and identify trends for in-process material and bulk raw materials and recommend corrective actions; ensure that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed; formulate policy in the process of analyzing, planning product quality and operations planning.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer requirements by reviewing applicable contract specifications and meeting quality standards. Work within Quality organization to support business objectives.
  • Analyze and support root cause and corrective actions to achieve company quality and business objectives. Develop and maintain Quality metrics with accountable action plans.
  • Maintains and matures REMS quality systems and supporting policies and procedures.
  • Write, review, and revise formal instructional, technical and general business documents, including Process Procedures and Work Instructions for continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level of products and production equipment.
  • Review manufacturing documentation ensuring the necessary criteria and provisions are incorporated to permit effective inspection and testing of materials including AS9102 FAI approval and submittal.
  • Analyze reports and data including returned materials; initiate correction action for procedural, product or process deficiencies.
  • Manage statistical analysis on products to determine the patterns seen and unseen by providing insight to the lifecycle of the product.
  • Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.
  • Improve and maintain 5S in your area, make suggestions for improvements.
  • Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving.
  • Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including Internal Audits.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) years of related experience in quality assurance; Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Science, Math or related field, required;
  • Advanced English proficiency (written, verbal, and technical communication).
  • Leadership skills: ability to lead, coach and mentor staff; ability to inspire and motivate others;
  • Communication skills: ability to receive messages by telephone, in person, electronically and in writing; ask questions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend written complex instructions; communicate across organizational levels; ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before customers or employees; ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities;
  • Computer skills:workingknowledge of networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows like interface using Power Point, Excel, Word and Outlook software programs at an intermediate to advanced level;ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as SAP;
  • Math & Analytical skills: intermediate to advance mathematical skills, including statistical inferences, patterns and fundamentals algebra, geometry and trigonometry; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions; review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities; ability to collect, analyze and summarize information to a general understanding; ability to think abstractly and separate complex ideas into simple elements; solid understanding of basic statistics and statistical patterns;
  • Time Management and Organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality; work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information;

  • Advanced knowledge of AS9100 Rev. DQuality Management System requirements.
  • Experience inmicroelectronics manufacturing, hybrid microcircuits, electronic assemblies.
