Job summary

Flextronics Juarez seeks a Quality Engineer to develop, implement, and oversee quality programs for electronics manufacturing and server-grade assemblies. You will partner with design and engineering teams to assure product quality from NPI through mass production.

The role requires a BA/BS in Engineering, advanced English, and hands-on experience with PFMEA, control plans, SPC, ISO standards, and audits. You will mentor quality technicians across shifts and collaborate with SAP/Oracle ERP

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Engineering or related field.
Advanced English communication skills.
Experience in electronics manufacturing, especially high-reliability products (PCBA, SMT, test, assembly).
Experience conducting internal and external audits and knowledge of auditing methodologies.
Solid understanding of assembly and manufacturing processes for electronic components.
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and high-volume production environments.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies including PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and 8D.
Customer-focused mindset and experience with ISO quality standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of products and processes.
Collect, analyze, and present information regarding production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and new product designs for management review.
Propose and evaluate alternative methods to solve problems and adapt to changing market opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define company policies, operating procedures, and quality goals.
Define control areas, personnel requirements, and operational procedures.
Lead and participate in meetings with design and engineering teams to coordinate functions and establish quality procedures.
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure quality of newly designed products and resolve issues in production.
Stay current on industry trends by reviewing publications, standards, and best practices.
Manage ramp-up phases, NPI launches, and transitions to high-volume production.
Support manufacturing of robust electronic boards used in server applications with stringent reliability standards.
Lead and mentor medium-sized teams of quality technicians and auditors across multiple shifts.
