Carrier Global Corporation in Santa Catarina, Mexico, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations by driving product and process quality improvements, resolving issues, and preventing defects.

You will apply structured problem solving, lead root-cause investigations, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supplier Quality to raise FPY and strengthen process capability. Fluent English required for cross-functional communication.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in Manufacturing Quality, Process Quality, Manufacturing Engineering or related manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, capability analysis, and structured problem solving.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances and technical requirements.
• Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading root-cause and corrective-action activities.
• Ability to work directly with Manufacturing and Engineering teams on the production floor.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Advanced English

Responsabilidades

• Ensure product and process quality throughout the manufacturing operation, identifying risks and controlling variation.
• Lead root-cause investigations using 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D and other methodologies.
• Update PFMEAs, Control Plans, inspection requirements and process controls.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Testing and Operations to improve FPY and reduce defects.
• Drive continuous improvement and defect prevention beyond inspection.
• Communicate findings and lead corrective actions across teams.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role applies structured problem-solving and data-driven analysis to improve First Pass Yield (FPY), reduce defects, and ensure effective corrective actions that strengthen process performance and customer satisfaction. **Key Responsibilities** As a Quality Engineer, you'll be responsible for: * The **Quality Engineer** is responsible for ensuring product and process quality throughout the manufacturing operation by proactively identifying risks, controlling process variation, resolving quality issues, and preventing defects from reaching downstream operations or customers.* A **technical quality partner to Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Testing, and Operations**, providing hands-on support on the production floor and using data, structured problem solving, and quality engineering tools to improve First Pass Yield, reduce defects and escapes, and strengthen process capability.* The role is expected to go beyond inspection and containment by focusing on **root cause elimination, process robustness, defect prevention, and continuous improvement**.* Lead structured root cause investigations using **5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, Fault Tree, and other appropriate problem-solving methodologies**.* Update applicable PFMEAs, Control Plans, inspection requirements, and process controls based on lessons learned. **Requirements** We are looking for people who are proactive.
