Responsibilities

Job description

Support specified assembly lines in creating and maintaining control over associated products and processes. Support production lines in resolving quality related issues while assisting in improving overall quality and efficiency of the operation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision: Lead efficient day to day operation of the Quality Engineers in his group including resources review; hiring, performance review and development of personnel. Direct daily workplace activities of Quality Engineers in the plant.
• Issue Resolution and Communication: Interface with all departments to identify and correct manufacturing issues as they arise; analyze customer/field reports, warranty data, internal plant failures (scrap, ppm, product audits, etc.), and prototype production and pilot runs of new products. Drive Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions (CAPA) in the manufacturing process while maintaining communication between issue owners and issue originators.
• Compliance Auditing: Audit and verify compliance with quality procedures, work instructions, and established Critical to Quality (CTQ) processes. Develop, implement, and maintain control plans as required, using applicable statistical techniques for data analysis.
• QMS Support: Actively promote and support plant Quality Management System (QMS) maturation efforts, including participating in plant audits.
• Quality Metrics Management: Track, analyze, report, and improve plant quality metrics.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement and special project teams as assigned by the plant Quality Manager (QM).
