TradeCentric is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer located in Mexico to work in a Scrum environment. You will create test plans, develop automation scripts, and execute tests on SaaS applications built with PHP 8.x and Vue.js. Advanced English required, with collaboration across internal teams to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.

Remote work is available, with a Monday–Friday schedule. You will track QA metrics, prevent production issues, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of QA experience in a SaaS environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
• Advanced English, both written and spoken.
• Experience writing clear, concise test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with white box and black box testing for SaaS platforms.
• Proficient in testing applications and APIs built with PHP 8.x and Vue.js, or similar.
• Experience with automated testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium).
• Proficiency in automation scripting (Python) and SQL.
• Knowledge of XML, cXML, JSON, and HTTP/API protocols.
• Experience in Scrum and CI/CD environments.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work collaboratively within a Scrum environment to ensure the quality and reliability of our SaaS solutions. You will contribute directly to the assessment of test objectives and the creation of test plans, use a variety of exploratory and automated testing techniques and tools, capture and leverage test and quality metrics, and execute test plans to validate pre-production software. Driven by the goal of preventing issues from reaching production, you will directly contribute to customer success and help drive TradeCentric’s next phase of growth.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with internal teams to identify system requirements and the goals of planned solutions
• Provide feedback on and contribute to acceptance criteria for user stories
• Create comprehensive test plans and test cases for both initial and regression testing
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using various tools
• Identify and thoroughly document bugs and issues
• Perform revalidation and regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect density and open defect counts
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in QA
• Advanced English, both written and spoken
• A self-starter able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
• Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing for SaaS platforms
• An avid problem-solver who can simulate production scenarios, replicate issues, and identify edge cases
• Proficient in testing applications and APIs built with PHP 8.x and Vue.js, or similar
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)
• Hands-on experience with automation scripting (Python) and SQL
• Knowledge of data formats including XML, cXML, and JSON, as well as HTTP/API protocols
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience testing in a Scrum and CI/CD environment
• Experience with source code control systems, specifically GitHub

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance and/or security testing
• Experience in B2B, e-commerce, or integration domains and software
