Eaton is seeking a QMS Engineer Coordinator in Tijuana to lead the Quality Management System across the site and its supply chain. You will drive compliance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with automotive standards.

Key responsibilities include maintaining ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, developing training materials, and coordinating CAPA actions with cross-functional teams. This role requires strong analytical and collaborative skills and a proactive quality mindset.

Formación

  • Engineering degree in Electronics, Industrial, Mechatronic, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 quality systems.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and process improvement.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 & IATF 16949.
  • Develop and deliver training to sustain quality improvement initiatives.

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a QMS Engineer Coordinator.Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.What you’ll do:Primary functionContributes to developing the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards and systems for the Company and its supply chain to operate within. May undertake auditing to ensure compliance although this may be carried out by a third party accredited body. Responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), writing and updating procedures and processes to support the QMS development. Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business as well as across the supply chain. Provide training and champion the Quality Management System. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.Essential functionsOversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company, including any business accreditations.Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business.Analyse current and future procedural needs of the business.Communicate and interact with employees in regards of customer satisfaction to build improvement commitment actions (8Ds or A3s) towards automotive quality culture.Organise and manage the plant customer and internal audits system and supported by the corrective action reporting system.Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditor, as needed.Host external ISO9001 & IATF 16949 Quality System audits.Undertake internal project and management audits during the tender, design and manufacture stages.Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis, hold a certificate as internal auditor in ISO 9001, IATF 16949 at least.Liaise with Process Improvement Engineers and Learning and Development specialists to implement an effective, documented process that defines product Quality requirements, best practice and training materials to support continuous improvement initiatives.Deploy the EQMS - Risk and Opportunities to the Tijuana site through a robust plan supported by the processes owners.Maintain the Internal Audit activities on schedule and work closely with the CAPA System Engineer to follow up all non conformities.Coordinate the review of Quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications:Education level requiredEngineering (Electronics, Industrial, Mechatronic, Electro mechanic or related)Years and area of experience required6-10 years of experience as ISO9001/IATF16949 Quality Systems Engineer.Strong IATF 16949 & CSRs knowledge along with mechanical, statistical and drawings/requirements background in working with automotive or aerospace products and knowledge of the Quality Management System as well.Technical knowledgeCore Tools, APQP, SPC, PPAP, PFMEA/CP, IATF 16949/ISO 9001, Statistical/Minitab, Six Sigma, Drawing Interpretation, Strong communication, 8D management, Engineering Changes & Validation management, Finance knowledge, GD&T, IPC requirements, decision taker, Engineering background.Skills:Soft skillsAnalysis/Critical thinking/Problem-solving skills, decision taker, team player, Communication skills, Ethics, Interpersonal skills, Attention to detail, etc.All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
