FontisEnergy is seeking a QHSE Advisor to ensure quality, health, safety and environmental policies are effectively implemented across offshore drilling operations and office environments.

You will lead compliance monitoring, risk assessments, incident investigations and training coordination, with the possibility of offshore support duties under the QHSE Director.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or QHSE or equivalent.
• 5 years of QHSE or offshore operations experience.
• ISM/ISPS and ISO environmental training certificates preferred.
• Ability to coach people in proper planning with risk identification.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Coordinate action items with Rig Manager prior to offshore departures.
• Conduct facility surveys, ISM audits and progress reviews.
• Audit, identify and communicate best practices, lessons learned, and safety improvements.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances; perform root-cause analysis.
• Organize QHSE training programs and awareness campaigns.
• Support offshore teams in environmental incident management and spill response planning.

TheQHSEAdvisorisresponsibleforensuringthatthecompany'sQuality,Health,Safety,andEnvironmental(QHSE)policiesandproceduresareeffectivelyimplementedandmaintainedwithinanofficeenvironment,supportingoffshoredrillingoperations.Theroleinvolvescompliancemonitoring,riskassessment,trainingcoordination,andcontinuousimprovementinitiativestoenhancesafetycultureandenvironmentalsustainability.TheQHSEAdvisorcanbeallocatedtooffshoresupportdutiesasdictatedbyoperationsandDirectorofQHSE.

JobSpecificResponsibilities

Quality,Health&SafetyResponsibilities:

• ImplementandmaintainQHSEpolicies,procedures,andmanagementsystemsincompliancewithcompanyandregulatorystandards.
• DevelopanagendaforactionitemswiththeRigManagerpriortodepartureoffshoreandreviewresultswithRigManageraftervisit.
• CoordinatewithQHSESupervisoranyQHSEmandatesforworkoffshoreonthespecificunitthatwillbeworkingwith.
• Conductfacilitysurveys,ISMauditsandworkinprogresstoensurecontinuousimprovementinthehealthandsafetyprograms.
• EffectivelyuseandsupportallSafetyManagementprogramsemployedbytheorganization.
• Reviewrigspecificproceduresandidentifyopportunitiesforimprovement.
• Audit,identifyandcommunicatebestpractices,lessonslearned,safetyandenvironmentalertwithoperationsandthecompanyfleet.
• Ensureimplementationoffindingsandresultsarecommunicatedwithmanagementforappropriateaction.
• Coach,observeandmentorthesafetyofficersonboardeachunitinthecompanyandriskassessmentprocesses.
• Conductriskassessmentsandsupporthazardidentificationprocessesforoffshoredrillingoperations.
• Monitorandreportoncompliancewithoccupationalhealthandsafetyregulations,ensuringbestpracticesarefollowed.
• Investigateincidents,nearmisses,andnon-conformances,providingrootcauseanalysisandrecommendingcorrectiveactions.
• Assistinemergencypreparednessplanning,drills,andresponsecoordination.
• Conductinternalauditsandsupportexternalauditsbyregulatorybodies,clients,andcertificationagencies.
• Ensureproperdocumentationofsafetyprocedures,workpermits,andincidentreports.
• OrganizeQHSEtrainingprograms,toolboxtalks,andawarenesscampaigns.

EnvironmentalResponsibilities:

• Monitorandassesstheenvironmentalimpactofoffshoredrillingactivities,ensuringcompliancewithenvironmentallawsandstandards.
• Developandimplementenvironmentalmanagementplans,spillresponsestrategies,andwastemanagementprograms.
• Conductenvironmentalriskassessments,includingemissions,discharges,andhazardousmaterialsmanagement.
• EnsurecompliancewiththeInternationalConventionforthePreventionofPollutionfromShips(MARPOL),OsloandParisConventionsfortheProtectionofMarineEnvironment(OSPAR),andotherenvironmentalregulationsapplicabletooffshoreoperations.
• Collectandanalyzeenvironmentalperformancedata,preparingreportsforregulatoryagenciesandinternalstakeholders.
• Providetechnicalguidanceonpollutionprevention,sustainabilityinitiatives,andresourceconservation.
• Supportoffshoreteamsinmanagingenvironmentalincidents,includingspillresponsecoordinationandreporting.

Qualifications

Preferablyabachelor'sdegree:EnvironmentalEngineeringorQHSEDegree,oranyequivalentfield.

Yearsofexperience:5years'experienceinQHSEoroperations(Offshoresupervisorylevelexperiencerequired).

CertificatesinISM/ISPSandISOenvironmentaltrainingpreferred.

Mustpossessexpertiseandknowledgeofhowtocoachpeopleintheproperplanningofworkwiththeidentificationofrisksandunsafehazards.
