A prominent engineering firm in Chihuahua is seeking a Manual Quality Analyst to ensure the quality of technology solutions through functional software validation. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into test cases, designing and executing tests, and documenting results. Candidates should have a degree in a related field, experience in QA, and be fluent in English. This position offers a hybrid work model with some onsite requirements.

Formación

  • 3–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or manual testing.
  • Experience creating test cases, test scripts, test plans, and traceability matrices (RTMs).
  • Availability for occasional travel.

Manual Quality Analyst

Location: Preferably Chihuahua, Chih. (alternatively Tijuana or Mexico City)

Work Model: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

Language: Advanced English (fluent spoken and written)

Duration: Permanent

Schedule: Aligned to U.S. time zones

Role Objective

Ensure the quality of technology solutions through functional software validation, guaranteeing that developments meet business requirements and established standards. This role involves translating business specifications into detailed test cases, executing manual tests, and documenting results to deliver defect-free releases for both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and test cases.
  • Design, plan, and execute functional, integration, and regression tests.
  • Create master test plans and requirement traceability matrices (RTMs).
  • Identify, document, and track system defects.
  • Validate corrections and new features in each release cycle.
  • Prepare result reports (Test Summary Reports / Acceptance Test Certificates).
  • Participate in technical and quality reviews with Senior QA Analysts and development teams.
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC, CMMI, and internal standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Provide mentorship and technical support to Junior QA Analysts.
Technical & Academic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or manual testing.
  • Experience creating test cases, test scripts, test plans, and traceability matrices (RTMs).
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC (Waterfall / Agile).
  • Familiarity with defect management and test execution tools (e.g., Jira, ALM).
  • Desired exposure to manufacturing, distribution, or finance processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Availability for occasional travel.
