SimplePractice in Mexico City is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to own QA activities across the SDLC for a dedicated squad, focusing on manual testing and strong collaboration with engineers, product managers, and other QA professionals.

You will design, execute and document tests, participate in Agile ceremonies, and help expand automation while improving QA processes and coverage. Fluency in English is required and the role offers a competitive base compensation in MXN.

Formación

• 2+ years of QA experience with emphasis on manual testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC and testing methodologies.
• Experience in exploratory, smoke, regression, end-to-end, API and UAT testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to create and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Experience with Jira, TestRail or similar tools.
• REST API testing using Postman or similar.
• SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, JSON, REST).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; English fluency.

Responsabilidades

• Own QA activities across the SDLC for assigned squad.
• Design and execute exploratory, smoke, regression, end-to-end and UAT tests.
• Report defects with reproduction steps and collaborate with engineers.
• Work with Engineers, Product Managers, Engineering Managers and QA for high-quality delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to provide QA feedback.
• Estimate testing effort and communicate progress; flag release risks.
• Prepare test documentation: plan, cases, regression coverage, execution reports.
• Collaborate with automation team to define automation coverage.
• Continuously improve QA processes and testing practices.
