Johnson Controls is seeking a Purchasing Specialist III to join our global team in Mexico. You will support supplier development, assess capabilities, and help optimize procurement processes across functions.

Support the development, management, and assessment of suppliers to ensure their capabilities align with company standards.
Analyze the supplier database to evaluate quality, reliability, and price competitiveness of suppliers.
Assist in the development and maintenance of department metrics and scorecards for supplier performance evaluation.
Manage or support the management of commodity life cycles to optimize procurement processes.
Support negotiation and award of contracts within specified spending limits, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier capabilities with organizational needs.
Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to assess supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain clear communication with suppliers to foster strong relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
Implement and monitor supplier scorecards to track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
University degree and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in procurement processes and supplier management strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficient in English and Portuguese.
