Johnson Controls is seeking a Purchasing Specialist III in Monterrey, Mexico. You will support suppliers, analyze performance, and manage supplier metrics to optimize procurement processes.

The role requires university education or equivalent experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and fluency in English and Portuguese. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliant, cost-effective purchasing practices.

What will you do?

• Support the development, management, and assessment of suppliers to ensure their capabilities align with company standards.


• Analyze the supplier database to evaluate quality, reliability, and price competitiveness of suppliers.


• Assist in the development and maintenance of department metrics and scorecards for supplier performance evaluation.


• Manage or support the management of commodity life cycles to optimize procurement processes.


• Support negotiation and award of contracts within specified spending limits, ensuring compliance with company policies.

What are we looking for?

• University degree and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.


• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.


• Proficient in procurement processes and supplier management strategies.


• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.


• Proficient in English and Portuguese.
