Job Description

Join Our Global Purchasing Team!

We are looking for a committed and talented Purchasing Project Specialist to join our team in San Luis Potosi. This crucial position plays a significant role in the success of our global initiatives by ensuring that purchasing operations are in line with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Take charge of project objectives related to costs, quality, timelines, and budgets to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Global Procurement Management: Supervise technical procurement processes for platform and application projects on an international level, aiding in product development efforts.
  • Cost Management: Oversee Target Cost Achievement (TCA) for various components, consistently monitoring and analyzing material cost trends.
  • Supplier Engagement: Direct the supplier selection process, which includes managing the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, conducting technical evaluations, and maintaining clear communication with suppliers.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Represent purchasing in Systems Engineering (SE) teams, facilitating coordination between SE and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Technical Discussions: Lead Technical Supplier Discussions (TSD) to clarify project needs and strengthen supplier partnerships.
  • Business Unit Interface: Act as the main point of contact with the Business Unit (PS‑CC) and internal purchasing departments, including material‑field purchasing, quality assurance, and controlling.
  • Change Coordination: Oversee Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for purchasing projects, ensuring prompt updates and adjustments.
  • Cost Innovation (RPP): Identify and implement cost‑saving strategies, actively engaging in cost teams to improve overall project profitability.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in project management and procurement, ideally within a global framework.
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical capabilities with an emphasis on cost management and procurement methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, enabling effective interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
